New ezines and new services from Zinester!
|
|
|
Dear publishers and subscribers,
Zinester's staff would like to welcome all its publishers and
subscribers to Zinester's News. Thank you for staying with us all this
time. It has been tough but very exciting. Many of you have been very
helpful in making our service better, assisting us in tracking bugs
and adding new features. We would like to thank each one of you! Your
support is very important to us.
Since Zinester has been opened, a lot of things have changed.
We have reviewed some of our policies and added a bunch of new features
including email subscription and unsubscription functionality, new
subscription methods, From and Reply-to customization, a new
HTML/Plain text converter and personalization (more on this later in
this issue). Much of this has been done with the help of our
publishers.
If there's any feedback you'd like to send us, you are
welcome. Just email us at feedback@ezinester.com.
Oh, and one more thing. If you like Zinester and want to help us in promoting it,
there's one simple thing you can do. It will take only a few minutes:
you can rate Zinester at the Cumuli Ezine Finder. Click directly on this
link and rate Zinester (top right corner of the page). You can
also leave your comments if you like. Thanks!
Editor,
Andrew Okunev

Zinester's Premium Packages have been
updated. Now, in addition to the standard benefits like absence of
advertising and message size restrictions, Premium Services include:
1. From & Reply-to Customization.
What is it for? Take a look at this message. The standard From
field for ezines delivered by Zinester is
Zinester.com. To make it easier for you to
distinguish this newsletter from all the others we've set it to
Zinester's News. In addition to this we set our
Reply-to email address to support@ezinester.com in order
to track every possible response from our mailings (the default
Reply-to email address is null@ezinester.com).
2. Personalization.
The word says nothing by itself. When we were creating
Zinester, we decided to make the subscription process as simple as
possible. Email address and password for further access to his account
- that's all a subscriber needs to start working with Zinester. We
even went further and created a new subscription method called "rapid"
(more on this topic at the Subscription Web Forms
page) - a method that does not require a new user to submit a password
but assigns it automatically.
But we couldn't stand one thing - personalization. Today, when
the volume of email messaging is increasing drastically, personalizing
your email messages becomes a survival issue. How does a subscriber
know this message was emailed to him and does not happen to be one of
those spam messages? He doesn't - not unless the message is addressed
directly to him and features his name and email address. In a word,
personalization is vital. So, we had to add a name field to our
subscription forms.
What happens if a subscriber's name is not stored in the
database? A default name will be used, such as "subscriber". And
another thing will happen: Zinester's subscription interface will
request for a name every time this subscriber logs in to the system.
Every time this field will be optional and will be filled only if one
wants to. You can experiment with different forms provided by Zinester
to understand what we are talking about.
Again, we want you to look at this message as an example. If
your name is stored in Zinester's database (John, for example), at the
beginning, in the Editor's Note column, the greeting will look like
"Dear John". If your name is not stored, it will state "Dear
publishers & subscribers" - that is what we chose for our default
name. Names can be inserted in the subject field also.
Your subscribers' email can also be inserted. Take a look at
the bottom of this message. You will see the email address you are
subscribed with. And you will also see a "log in" link that will lead
directly to your account at Zinester (password needed only).
Are you still wondering if you really need personalization?
Take a look at our pricing
page. The Basic package is only
$9.99. That includes 10,000 100k messages and all the
features. Whenever the package volumes are exceeded, our
flexible pricing system begins to work. You will never have to pay for
useless packages, but for real message volumes only.
And now, the most important part. Only in this issue of
Zinester's News, we announce our Special Offer! If you purchase
Zinester's Premium Services for at least a 6 months
period before October 15th, you will receive
2 additional months of Premium list hosting free.
You will also receive a 10% discount for purchasing
a 6 months period and more if you purchase a 12 months period. To
sign up for Zinester's Premium Servivces, complete this
form.
